New Electric Bike Hire at Ride Bikes
We are very excited to announce that we now offer Electric Bike hire from our shop in Ulverston. We have six high end Cube hybrid e-bikes available for daily rides or longer hire. The Bosch powered bikes give you a long range with enough assistance to tackle the steepest of hills, front suspension and high volume tyres for comfort and grip both on and off road. We have a range of sizes to suit everyone, all in Cubes trapeze frame style.
The bikes are perfect for riding the Bay Cycle Way, or for touring into the Lake District. If you already have a bike, but have friends coming to visit, now they can ride with you. Has your partner got an E-Bike and you can’t keep up? Or even if you are considering buying an e-bike you can now try one before you buy. Plus if you buy a bike with us, you will get the hire fee refunded.
The bikes are £65.00 for a day. Included in the price of the hire:
- helmet
- mini tool kit including puncture repair*
- lock
- lights front and rear
- mudguards
- options to add on trunk bags with fold down paniers large enough to hold gear for the day and short multi day tours, and / or top tube packs with mobile phone holders for smaller kit and perfect for mobile phone navigation apps, such as Komoot.
We are pleased to be in partnership with Ways Around the Bay to encourage people to get out on bikes around Morecambe bay. The Bay Cycle Way Route 700 goes through Ulverston and connects Morecambe bay from Barrow to Glasson Dock south of Lancaster. From Ulverston there are many other routes available including north into the Lake District for a loop around Coniston Water or a day on gravel tracks in Grizedale Forest.
